Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data The Excellence Company collects through theexcellencecompany.co, why, and what rights you have. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Wassim Iben Khalifa, operating as The Excellence Company, France.

2. Data we collect
The site has no user account and no newsletter. We only collect data in three cases:
- When you email us: your name, email address, company, job title and any information you include in your message.
- When you book a meeting: your name, email address, the time slot you choose and any information you add to the booking form. Bookings are handled by Koalendar.
- When you visit the site: technical data processed by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and date and time of access, kept in server logs for security purposes.
3. Why we use your data
- To answer your message and schedule a call. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To prepare a proposal and manage a mission. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making.
4. How long we keep it
- Emails and meeting bookings from prospects: 3 years after our last exchange.
- Client data: for the duration of the contract, then for the periods required by French law (up to 10 years for accounting records).
- Server logs: 12 months at most.
5. Who receives your data
Only The Excellence Company has access to your data. Technical providers process it on our behalf: our website hosting provider, our email service provider and Koalendar, our meeting booking service. You can ask us for their details at any time.
If a provider stores data outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. Cookies and fonts
The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to third-party font services.
The meeting booking button is provided by Koalendar. It loads a script from koalendar.com, which receives technical data such as your IP address. When you open the booking window, Koalendar's own privacy policy also applies. If we add cookies that require your consent, we will ask for it first and update this policy.
7. External links
The site links to LinkedIn and Koalendar. When you follow these links, their own privacy policies apply.
8. Your rights
You can at any time:
- access your data and get a copy,
- correct it or ask us to delete it,
- restrict or object to its processing,
- receive it in a portable format,
- give instructions on what happens to your data after your death.
Send your request to hi@theexcellencecompany.co. We reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at www.cnil.fr.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to emails and client files is limited and protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
